Hardwood Floor Repair in Los Angeles

A leak under the dishwasher, a pet accident, or a few cracked boards rarely means the whole floor has to go. We cut out only the damaged boards and weave new ones into the existing floor in a staggered pattern, so the repair has no straight seam.

The hard part is making new wood disappear into old wood. We match board width and species, then sand and color-match the stain and finish to the surrounding floor. One customer brought us a patch job they “couldn't get help with anywhere,” and wrote that Jaymes finished it “in less time than we'd thought.”

What Customers Say

“Jaymes did a great job on a tricky project; re-patching a section of floor that I couldn't get help with anywhere. He did the job in less time than we'd thought; was diligent, tidy and charming, to boot. He left my place cleaner than when he arrived. I would highly recommend him.”

Floor Repair FAQ

Common questions about floor repair in Los Angeles.

Can a damaged hardwood floor be repaired instead of replaced?

Often, yes. Scratches, dents, gaps, and water-damaged sections can usually be repaired by replacing individual boards and color-matching the finish to the existing floor, which usually costs much less than replacing the whole floor.

Can you repair water-damaged hardwood floors?

Yes. Boards that are cupped, stained, or soft from water are cut out and replaced. The leak itself needs to be fixed and the subfloor dry before new boards go in.

Will the repaired area match the rest of my floor?

New boards are laced into the old floor in a staggered pattern, then sanded and stained to match the surrounding wood so the repair blends in.

Do you take on small repair jobs?

Yes. Repairs range from a few boards to large sections, and every job starts with a free estimate.
