Hardwood Floor Installation in Los Angeles

A new floor is only as good as the prep underneath it and the cuts at the edges. Most installation problems (squeaks, gaps, cupping, boards that lift at a doorway) come from a subfloor that was never checked or a layout that was never planned.

Arbor Hardwood Floors has installed floors across Los Angeles since 2003: straight runs through open-plan homes, curved and spiral staircases, step-downs, and custom borders and inlays. We work with homeowners and home builders, and every job starts with a free in-home estimate.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Free in-home estimate

We measure, check the subfloor, and talk through materials, tone, and layout.

  2. 2

    Prep

Old flooring comes out, the subfloor is leveled and repaired where needed, and furniture and doorways are protected.

  3. 3

    Installation

Boards are laid to a planned layout and cut in around hearths, stairs, and door jambs.

  4. 4

    Finish and cleanup

Trim and transitions go on, then we clean up. Customers mention this part in their reviews.

Floor Installation FAQ

Common questions about floor installation in Los Angeles.

Should I choose hardwood, laminate, or vinyl flooring?

Hardwood can be sanded and refinished many times over its life, so it suits living areas you plan to keep for years. Vinyl handles water better, which makes it a good fit for kitchens, laundry rooms, and rentals. Laminate is a budget-friendly middle ground for dry areas. We walk through the trade-offs at the free estimate.

Do you install flooring on stairs?

Yes. We install treads, risers, and nosing on straight, curved, and spiral staircases, and finish step-downs to match the surrounding floor.

Do you remove the old flooring?

Yes. Removing the old floor and preparing the subfloor is part of the job. Subfloor condition is checked at the estimate so there are no surprises once the old floor comes up.

Do you work with home builders?

Yes. Arbor Hardwood Floors works with both homeowners and home builders.
